It’s Been a While

Hey guys! It’s been a few months since I’ve posted on the blog. It would be easy to fast forward to now and pick up where I left off, but that wouldn’t be fair to either of us. Here’s  a recap of my past few months if you’ve missed me as much as I have missed you!

March

I celebrated my birthday on the 26th. Nothing says responsibility and independence like a new apartment right? I moved in before the end of the month and did my best to get settled in. It’s been a few months and my place still doesn’t feel like home at times, but it’s growing on me. The real reason I’ve  been gone for so long from the blog lies here. Learning to balance my work, yoga practice, IG posts, and being a good dog mom has been challenging. I mean, challenging

April

The start of the month was rough! There were some major changes at work that left me and the therapy team in a bad situation. I am so fortunate to be able to do what I do and have kept my job, but not all my coworkers were as lucky as me. In the middle of the mess that was my work life I found an escape. I took a trip to Chicago to meet up with my sweet friend Bettina that I met through Instagram. It was a trip to remember! Recap of that trip is HERE

May

Nothing says summer like the desert heat. I put together the perfect itinerary for a girls trip to Palm Springs! It was the highlight of my month and way prettier than I thought it would be. Recap of Palm Springs can be found HERE

June

June was so good to me! I mentioned once in my Instagram stories that my yoga practice took a back seat and I made it to Black Swan about 5-8 times per month over the last couple months instead of my usual 20+. I got my groove back in June and made it to 20 classes this month! I feel strong, my heart feels light, and I finally feel like I have found the balance that I was missing back in March.

July

Four months not seeing my family was way too long! We all got together for Independence Day at South Padre Island. It was a quick 72 hour turnaround and I drove straight to work when I got back into town, but it was worth it! I got to spend quality time with my niece and nephews and squeeze their little bodies. I also got plenty of sun and didn’t have to tan for the rest of the summer!

August

The wonderful people at Barco Uniforms invited me to their 90th Anniversary event in Los Angeles and it has hands down been the highlight of my blogging career. More on that experience HERE.

I hope you all learned a little more about what I’ve been up to this spring and summer. I’m glad to be back and writing again!
