5 Attractive Things Jeff Did This Month

Nine months until we get married and I often find myself in awe of Jeff. Here are a handful of things he did specific to June that made me do a double take.

HOA Zaddy

One side of the alley where we must drive through to park our cars in the garage has overgrown plants and bushes. In the 6 months I’ve lived with Jeff I do not recall even once where the alley neighbors have trimmed their yards that scratch our vehicles. It’s gotten so bad I even saw a next door neighbor with a machete trying to take matters into her own hands! Her efforts didn’t pay off.

After a walk around the neighborhood a few weeks ago, Jeff went back into the house to type out a letter. Nicely put, the gist was: your grass is scratching 75 peoples cars, cut your grass. We walked back out and Jeff dropped them off in mailboxes. Lo and behold, one of the yards was trimmed the following week! A huge relief!

Mr. Potty

I joked with Jeff that our primary bedroom commode has to be kicked, slapped, and flicked a certain number of times in order to work properly. I’ve gotten a lot of side eye for letting the water run after a flush, but in my defense, I’ve never had such a high maintenance commode! Jeff was out for a few days this month and I broke the toilet. Though I did hate it because it had also looked like a bachelor used it for years on end, I didn’t do it on purpose.

I called Jeff while he was out to tell him the unfortunate news. He was in a panic to rush back to see the damage I’d done, but was able to make arrangements for a fix when he was back in town. The plumber said it was an easy fix, but instead Jeff asked him to replace the entire thing! It was a welcome surprise and I love our new throne.

Wedding Designer

Designing our save the dates and invitations has been on the back burner for me. Searching templates, fonts, selecting photos, etc. was going to take some effort. I really wanted to see the finished product but didn’t want to do it myself. Fiancé Jeff saved the day and did an incredible job!!! Friends, look out for them over the next few weeks. I am so looking forward to what he will come up with our invitations. I’m so lucky!

Quick Responder

The best advice I received and can give back to another bride to be is to create an email address specifically for wedding related activity. Here, I have been able to communicate with vendors and see everything in one place. Jeff has the password and checks the email too to communicate with vendors he’s been in charge of during the planning process. We received an email from one of the vendors under Jeff’s umbrella. I was going to ask him to respond, but upon checking sent mail, I had seen he’d already responded. I’ve been impressed with how he’s stayed on top of his responsbilities!

Sweet Talker

The 4 above are specific to June, and this one isn’t but needed to be included! 🥲

I was doing some light online shopping/perusing last night. The brand site I was on was Lucy in the Sky and the models all look really young, care-free, and like they have not a worry in the world – very different from the life I lead! Jeff leaned over to peek at my screen. I asked, “am I told old to be wearing this?” To which my fiancé lovingly responded, “no, you look beautiful in everything.” So, I shopped on and my heart melted.

Thanks for letting me brag a little bit. I cannot wait to marry this wonderful man!

XO,

Vivian
