Five Things 01

In an effort to write more on the blog, I’m going to start writing Five Things twice per month. It’ll just be some of what’s going on in my real life and give me a chance to get back into using this space again. Read on for what’s new with me!

Baby #7

My 7th niece was born over the weekend!!! While it’s my sisters baby girl and not mine, I can’t help but be overwhelmed with JOY. The family is growing! I shed a few happy tears and then a few more knowing the next babies in the family will be mine. Not that I’m having children anytime soon, but I look forward to the day when I get to add one more to the family clan.

Love is in the air

I have a playlist strictly for love songs that I listen to every once in a while. I try not to over play it, and put it on mostly when I’m feeling lovey. With the newest member of the family here, a friends wedding this upcoming weekend, and a wonderful boyfriend I can’t get enough of, it was time to give it a listen! Linking HERE in case anyone else needed a little more love too.

Some Indulgence

Two months had passed since I got together with some girlfriends. We had the best time catching up over several White Claws by the pool. Recovery from a day of drinks is always a little painful, but I’m giving myself grace. I have strict boundaries for myself during the week so that I can indulge for times like these. So, I’m reveling in the hangover just this once!

GFI

If you don’t know what that means, it’s ok because neither did I until a couple weeks ago. I started a course towards becoming a group fitness instructor! I have an idea of what I’ll do next, but that’ll be a secret to reveal at a later time.

Dashboard Lights

My Honda’s dashboard lights were all blinking for easily over 18 months. After taking it in to get serviced I was told my toll tag sticker was making my car’s sensors act wacky. I removed the toll tag sticker knowing very well that wasn’t the issue. Less than 12 hours out of the shop, the lights were all going off again!!! You can imagine my frustration. I took my car back for a more serious diagnosis and it turns out my fuel injectors were faulty.

I’d like to add that I already knew it was the fuel injectors. So many Honda vehicles have suffered through this that I was able to find the cause several months back in just a few google searches. I’m more so disappointed in the car industry and their greed for lack of issuing a recall.

Several pennies were spent on this repair and my brother was nice enough to listen to me complain about the cost. He reminded me I’m lucky enough to be able to cover the cost of the repairs. It sucks to see this big charge on my account, but now I am just a tad more grateful to be able to support myself.

Thanks for catching up on my five things this week. Until next time.

XO, Vivian
